Alvina was born to Frank and Elizabeth (nee Noll) Kohle on September 2, 1924, at Cudworth. She attained her education at St. Boniface School and attended church at St. Boniface Church, both in Leofeld, SK. Alvina walked to school unless someone older could take her with the horse and buggy or horse and cutter during the winter months. She really liked school and excelled in her classes and in sports. On October 19, 1943, Alvina married John Weiman. Together, they built their own farm north of Bruno and proudly raised nine children. Alvina loved her life on the farm and all that entailed, and was very fulfilled as a wife, mother and homemaker. Over the years, in her leisure time, she enjoyed crocheting, reading, a bit of travelling, and trips to some lakes.

Alvina will be lovingly remembered by eight children: Diana Thiemann, Lucille (Jerome) Strasser, Janiene (Harold) Kocay, Corinne (Ralph) Wills, Linda (Matt) Harildstad, Leslie (Brenda) Weiman, Lyla (Lambert) Hering, and Valerie Huslage (fiancé Mark Wallace); son-in-law, Hugo Lamping; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great- great-grandchildren; sister, Ella Lingel; brother, Henry Kohle; sisters- in-law: Sally Kohle and Marilyn Kohle, and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Weiman (November 13, 2009); daughter, Marlene Lamping (July 9, 2009); granddaughter, Dawn Wills; grandson, Trevor Strasser; grandson-in- law, Dennis Kuka; granddaughter-in-law, Merideth Lamping; great- grandson, Cody Lamping; sons-in-law, Joseph Thiemann and Francis Huslage; parents, Frank and Elizabeth (nee Noll) Kohle; siblings: Eddy Kohle, Eric (Hilda) Kohle, Louise Kohle, Leo (Agnes) Kohle, Wilfred (Rosemary) Kohle, Francis Kohle, and John Kohle (in infancy); brothers- in-law, Joe Lingel and Peter Lingel; and by sister-in-law, Celine Kohle.
