Memorial Donations:

Doris was born to Mike and Isabella Zerebeski on September 12, 1936, at Fish Creek, SK. She was raised there and attended Fish Creek School where she attained her Grade 8 education. On June 1, 1957, Doris married Tony Stadnyk. They began their life together on a farm between Burr and Carmel. Doris was a proficient and busy homemaker who loved cooking, and always had sufficient food for her family and anyone who would stop by. As well, she helped with the field work on the farm and tended to the animals. Doris had “garden hands”, which was very evident as she always had the best gar- den in her neighborhood. Eventually, she and Tony moved into Humboldt. Doris became a full-time bus driver for over 20 years, retiring when she was 65. Over the years, she enjoyed playing cards with her family, especially on special occasions when they all got together; 10 Step was a favorite game. She derived her greatest pleasure from watching her children, then her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports, particularly ball. Doris was a very spiritual person and attended Mass regularly un- til her health deteriorated. She suffered with dementia during the last few years which sadly took over her life, even though she fought a strong battle.

Doris will be lovingly remembered by two children, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren: Bernadine (Stan) Dyck and family, Chantelle (Jeff), Rebecca (Andrew), and Gerad; Lisa (Courtney) Ward and family Brittany (Carson), and Tony; Leddi’s family, Christopher (Krystal) Stadnyk and children Matthew and Hailey, Tina (Richard) Saretsky and daughter Katlynn (Josh), and step-daughter Deseray Rieger, Nathan (Deena) Stadnyk and son Dawson, Travis (Reagan) Stadnyk and children Cheyenne and Kashdin; brother, Andy (Adelia) Zerebeski; brother-in-law, Roman Stadnyk; her pet cat, Kitty; and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Tony Stadnyk (2000); two sons: Leddi Stadnyk (2012), and Lloyd Stadnyk (2014); brother, Nick Zerebeski; sister, Ann Gaudet; and several in-laws.
