Edward Frank Ehalt was born April 18, 1931, to Alois and Theresa (née Ebert) Ehalt in Annaheim, Saskatchewan. Growing up he lived in a small farmhouse, with his parents, five sisters and one brother, and went to Laurier School in Annaheim. When Eddie was younger he loved curling and fishing. He would also travel with his parents to St. Boniface, Minnesota, U.S.A. where they emigrated from before he was born. In 1953, Eddie took over the Ehalt family farm and married his first wife Dolores Rabner. He was a hard worker and loved the farm chores, especially thrashing, and his horses, Lucky and Lucy. He and Dolores lived on the farm until 1976 when they decided to retire to Humboldt, though, Eddie continued to farm from Humboldt for several years. In 1996 Eddie and Dolores moved into the Parkview Condos in Humboldt where he began employment as the maintenance man. Sadly. Eddie’s first wife, Doloros, passed away in 2007, after 53 years of marriage. After a few years living alone in Caleb Village, Humboldt, Eddie met Margaret Stolte and he fell in love again. The were married October 20th, 2014, and made the most of their years together, doing activities and visiting with friends and family in the community. Eddie was a jokester and had quick wit and was always the entertaining Uncle of his family. Eddie was survived by: his wife Margaret; her children: Lyle,Gary, Yvette, and Allen; his sister Irene; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by: his first wife, Dolores Ehalt; stepson, Calvin Hueser; parents Alois and Theresa; brother Clarence (Ann); sisters: Margaret (Art), Dolores (Herman) (Carl), Viola (Bernard), and Sal (Norb); and brother-in law: Urban.
