It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, Mary Ellen Rose LaBrash, on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Humboldt

District Hospital in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. She was 78 years of age. Mom was born to Bernard and Catherine LaBrash (née Gerwing) on June 2,

1943. The oldest in a family with five brothers, Mom learned to become a strong woman who would never back down or be pushed into a corner. Her

strong will to live and survive was evident in all she did. You always knew where you stood with her that is for sure. Mom attended many different

schools in her childhood and had many fond memories and made many friends. She met Mark Seidel and they were married in October of 1962.

They moved to Humboldt and raised four daughters. Mom was always busy with raising the children and being involved in the community. She ventured

into the clothing business prior to her employment at St. Elizabeth Hospital as a front desk receptionist for 25 years. Later she moved to Saskatoon and

pursued her passion in real estate. She met James Winkel and moved back to Humboldt to continue selling real estate with Re/Max. Mom was a devout

Catholic and served on Parish Council in Middle Lake and Humboldt and she was a loyal CWL member since 1998. Her faith was strong right to

the end. Mom had many hobbies after retirement which included: watching her grandchildren play sports, golfing, Diamond Art, quilting, sewing, and

crossword puzzles. She loved visiting, entertaining, traveling and especially the times spent with her family and the laughter created with the son-in-

law’s who always competed to be “Mommsie’s” favorite!! We will all miss her BIGGER-than-life presence!! Mary Ellen will be greatly missed and

remembered by her loving partner James Winkel; her four daughters: Kelly Herperger, Cathy (Cec) Targerson, Joy Berschiminsky (and partner Ted),

and Rhonda (Darren) McConnell; her four stepchildren: Jamie (Heather) Winkel, Adrienne (Rod) Potter, Jennifer (Mark) Marianchuk, and Natalie

(Garry) Doepker; her twelve grandchildren: Michael Herperger (and partner Anna), Ryan Targerson, Derek (Kim) Targerson, Bryce Berschiminsky, Blake

Berschiminsky, Bray Berschiminsky, Rylan Marianchuk, Jorden Marianchuk, Annalise Winkel, Alexander Winkel, Gabriel Doepker, Brooke Doepker,

and Ashleagh Potter; great-grandchild Winnie Targerson; her three brothers: Chuck (Bernice) LaBrash, Noel LaBrash, and Doug LaBrash; and her many

nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Catherine (née Gerwing)

LaBrash; her brothers George and Pat LaBrash; and nephew Jeffrey LaBrash.
