Myrna was born on March 27, 1929, to Frank and Katherine (nee Nirwranski) Kaminski at Brooksby, SK. She was raised there and attended Maryville School to Grade 7 and Belgrave School to Grade 10. On October 10, 1948, Myrna married Mathew Bunko and they began their life together on his farm near Carmel, SK. Six children, four sons and two daughters, were born to them; however, one daughter died in infancy. Myrna was a busy homemaker and farm wife. She loved baking, sewing, knitting and crocheting. As well as tending to the domestic needs of her husband and children, she helped with all the barn and yard work on their mixed farm operation. In 1984, they built a new home in Humboldt and retired there. A final move was made to St. Mary’s Villa in 2007.
Myrna is survived by five children, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild: GREG (Wendy) Bunko and family, Tracy (Calvin) and their family, Althea and her son Jaxton, and Tavin, Jennifer and her children Faith and Anthony, Dylan (Jess) and his daughter Alexia, and Shaun and his daughter Carey; EUGENE (Chris) Bunko and family, Justin (Ada) and their son Connor, Jared (Melanie) and their children Sawyer and Lucy, Michael, and Sarah (Josia) Katabarwa; BRUCE (Cheryl) Bunko and family, Alexander (Camille) and their children Liam and Payton, and Andrew; THERESA Bunko (Reden Wymer); and ROBERT (Kathy) Bunko and family, Matthew (Meagan) and their children Jazlynn and Paisley, and Megan (Nathan) Hollingshead and their children Stayden, Bay and Zoey; sister Myrtle Magrath; brother Albert (Dianne) Kaminski; sisters-in-law: Bernie Kaminski, Darlene Bunko, Elizabeth Bunko, and Marie Bunko; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Myrna was predeceased by her husband Math Bunko; daughter Mary (in infancy); parents Frank and Katherine (nee Nirwranski) Kaminski; sisters, Matilda (Steve) Prytula, and Bertha (Joe) Wozniak; brother Adam Kaminski; brother-in-law Cliff Magrath; father-in-law John Bunko; mother-in-law Alice (nee Demko) Bunko; and by sisters-and-brothers- in-law of the Bunko family: Annie (Harry) Polanik, Katie (Nick) Lenyk, Nettie (Nick) Huculak, Bill (Dot) Bunko, Roman Bunko, Tony (Mackie) Bunko, Nick Bunko, Helen (John) Fay, Mike Bunko, and Morris Bunko.
